settings+focusable: ShowWindow and then SelectWindow
Not sure why this is suddenly needed but without it, production build
crashes trying to access the window before it's visible.

settings: Move storage to preferences file
Storing in resources in the application was cleaner but each app
update would wipe them out. Since there is possibly a server
password being stored, a user might not clear the settings out
before sharing the binary.
Save the preferences file in the System folder on System 6, or
System:Preferences on System 7+.
